Terms & Conditions

1. About Us and Application of Terms

MCR First Aid Training provides accredited first aid and safety training across the UK. MCR First Aid Training is a sole trader business operated by Anna Kolder and trades under the HMRC-registered name “Anna’s First Aid Training”. Our registered business address is 35 Tintern Rd, Middleton, Manchester M24 6HT, United Kingdom.

These Terms & Conditions apply to all users of our website and to all training bookings, whether made online, by email, by phone, or in person. By using our website or booking a course with us, you agree to these terms and all associated policies.

For the purposes of these terms:

  • “B2C” (Consumer): An individual booking a course for personal reasons, outside of their trade, business, craft, or profession.
  • “B2B” (Business): A company, charity, or individual booking a course for purposes relating to their trade, business, or profession (including booking on behalf of employees).

2. Website Use, Medical Disclaimer and Intellectual Property

Medical Disclaimer: The information provided on our website and in our course materials is for educational and training purposes/simulation purposes only. It does not constitute professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. In a real-world medical emergency, users must immediately contact 999 (or local emergency services) and follow official emergency protocols. You should not rely on website content as a substitute for consultation with a qualified healthcare professional or as a guide during an active medical crisis. Reliance on any information found on this website is strictly at your own risk.

Intellectual Property: Course materials may not be copied, reproduced, or distributed in any form without prior written consent.

3. Booking a Course

Bookings can be made via email, phone, or our website. Your place is confirmed, and a binding contract is formed, only once you receive an official booking confirmation email. If we cannot accept your booking, we will notify you, and no payment will be taken. A unique booking reference will be issued for future correspondence.

  • B2B Bookings: If you are booking on behalf of a business, you warrant that you have the legal authority to bind that business to these Terms & Conditions.
  • On-Site Courses: For courses delivered on-site at a client’s premises, failure to provide necessary information when requested may result in cancellation or additional administrative charges.

4. Payments and Deposits

We accept card payments and bank transfers. We are not VAT registered (no VAT applied).

  • B2C (Consumer) Payments: A 20% deposit is required at the time of booking. The remaining balance is due 28 days before the course date. Bookings made within 28 days require full payment upfront.
  • B2B (Business) Payments: A 20% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your requested dates. The remaining balance is payable within 30 days of the invoice date or no later than 14 days prior to the course start date, whichever is sooner.

5. Rescheduling and Transfers

Transferring Your Place: You may transfer your booking to another person free of charge (48 hours’ notice required).

Rescheduling by the Learner: Rescheduled courses must be attended within 3 months. The following fees apply:

  • More than 2 weeks notice: Free
  • Exactly 2 weeks notice: 5% of course fee
  • Less than 1 week notice: 50% of course fee

6. Cancellations and Refunds

6.1 B2C (Consumer) Statutory Rights and Cancellations If you are a B2C consumer booking online or by phone, you have a statutory right to cancel your booking within 14 days of receiving your booking confirmation for a full refund.

  • Short-Notice Bookings and Express Consent: If you book a course that is scheduled to start within your 14-day statutory cancellation period, you expressly request and consent to the training services commencing during this period.
  • Loss of Rights Upon Completion: You acknowledge that once the course has been fully delivered, you lose your statutory right to cancel.
  • Cancellations and No-Shows: For cancellations made with less than one week’s notice, or in the event of a ‘no-show’, we reserve the right to retain a sum equivalent to our lost booking revenue and administrative costs. Because we reserve a specific seat for you that cannot reasonably be re-allocated at short notice, this amount may be up to 100% of the course fee.

Standard Consumer Cancellations (outside of the 14-day statutory period):

  • More than 2 weeks notice: Full refund minus a 10 administration fee
  • Exactly 2 weeks notice: 50% refund
  • Less than 1 week notice (or no-show): Retained to cover lost revenue/costs (up to 100%)

6.2 B2B (Business) Cancellations The 14-day statutory cooling-off period does not apply to B2B bookings. For all B2B cancellations, the following terms apply to cover our loss of availability and administrative overheads:

  • More than 2 weeks notice: Refund of any balance paid, minus the 20% non-refundable deposit
  • Exactly 2 weeks notice: 50% of the total course fee is payable/retained
  • Less than 1 week notice (or no-show): 100% of the total course fee is payable/retained

Refunds are processed within 14 working days.

6.3 Cancellation by MCR First Aid Training If we must cancel or reschedule a course, you will be offered:

  • A full refund, or
  • A free transfer to another date

We will provide at least 48 hours’ notice where possible.
